We make this towel ring from a wooden saddle stirrup. It'll bring a kick of personality to your bathroom, kitchen or stable. Use it to hold a hand towel or as a doorknocker. Either way it's the perfect, practical gift for a horse lover or cabin owner. Wherever you hang it, it will become a sure-fire conversation piece.
The stirrup hangs from a heavy leather strap, available in either Brown or Cordovan, and is secured to the wall (or door) with a brass screw & washer. We make the brass washer from the base of a spent shotgun shell. After cleaning the stirrups, we sand them smooth and apply several coats of polyurethane so they resist water and won't harm your towels. Because these are used stirrups, they vary slightly in size but are generally 6" wide and 9" tall including the leather strap. It comes with all the hardware you need to install it on wood, plaster, sheetrock and tile walls.
Because we are repurposing actual stirrups we can't guarantee yours will look exactly like those shown here but it will be very close. If you need a perfectly matched pair, or want to see a photo before buying, drop me an email by clicking here.
