Here's a nifty step stool you won't find anywhere else. It's my own design, inspired by a Shaker stool that a friend gave me. The tall handle, which I carve to look like a canoe paddle, makes it easy to carry and store. It also helps you keep your balance. You'll enjoy using this stool everywhere but it's especially handy in the kitchen or pantry.

I make these stools entirely of Maple and give them a handrubbed satin finish that's attractive and durable. The handle is 35½" tall. The step is 9¼" high and measures 9½" x 13½". If you'd like the step to be a bit shorter, just let me know and I'll trim it down for you.
