Hiding in its lie, this trout is digesting its last meal while patiently waiting for its next.

I carved this trout from a single piece of wood, hand selected for its grain. It's attached to a piece of driftwood using a hidden post so that the trout is suspended above and away from the driftwood. This piece can stand on a table and be appreciated from all angles. By adding a hanger to the back it can also be mounted on a wall. The fish is especially dramatic when illuminated from above, casting a shadow like a natural fish in sunshine.
Overall dimensions are 20" wide by 12" tall by 5" deep. The fish alone measures 11" x 5".
