A popular online fishing forum recently asked its members 'How many rods do you own?' It turns out fewer than one in ten has only a single rod while more than half have five or more. What does this mean? Clearly nine out of ten fishermen need one of my Rustic Cedar Rod Racks!
I build these racks out of debarked and split White Cedar logs. Because they're Cedar you can mount them outdoors if you like (mine's mounted on the wall of my porch). The bottom half has four recesses spaced 3½" apart to accommodate everything from the daintiest fly rod to the heftiest spinning rod. The upper half has channels with a split leather strap that will hold the rods firmly. The leather strap is a drive belt I recycled from an old sawmill. It has diagonal cuts in it so you can just pop the rod in to store it and pop it out when you hear the fish rising.
These Rustic Rod Racks make great gifts. Each one holds up to four rods and comes with all mounting hardware. Larger racks and horizontal racks are available on request. Just drop me an email for pricing.
