NATURAL POPLAR CANDLES

Bring the spirit of the north woods into your home with these candle stands made from natural logs. Sized to safely hold standard tealights, these stands make an elegant accent in contemporary, traditional and rustic settings. Available in both birch and poplar, they add an earthy, natural element to an old farmer's table, a formal dinner table or an ultramodern sofa table. They're also very popular as centerpieces at wedding receptions and corporate banquets because they can be raffled off to guests when the event is over.

Each candle stand is truly unique and incorporates all the natural character you expect of natural wood: imperfections, knots and all. Both the birch and the poplar stands measure about 3" in diameter and come in 3", 5" and 8" heights (give or take). The bottoms are covered with felt and each candle holder comes with three unscented tea lights. The tea lights are a standard ½" tall, 1½" in diameter and will burn for about 2 hours. Available individually or in sets of three.

Great for Wedding Centerpieces

Like the birch candles, these poplar candles hold replaceable tealights so they can be enjoyed forever. Simply replacing the tealight gives you a brand new candle. This makes them ideal for reception centerpieces where guests might get to take them home.

I've had a number of customers ask if it's possible to carve into the bark of my birch candle stands. I've experimented with that but concluded that it is very difficult due to the layered nature of the bark. But with poplar, the smooth and regular bark makes carving into it a breeze. Carve the bride and groom's initial inside a heart. Or carve the reception table numbers into them.
