For the last few years Rustic Workbench has been exhibiting at the iconic summer festival, the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival in northern Maine. This year the festival will take place on July 29th and 30th, again in the beautiful village of Grand Lake Stream. This village is home to the largest concentration of Maine Guides in the state of Maine. And it's no wonder, for the town is surrounded by a beautiful chain of lakes, thousands of acres of forest, and is nestled next to one of the East Coast's most famous fly-fishing waters. The festival is a fun weekend filled with music, food, and arts and crafts. Book yourself into one of the many sporting camps in town. Bring your bathing suit and hiking shoes and go kayaking and fishing. Take a swim in the crystal clear, warm lake waters. Hike the forest paths of the huge conservation area run by the Downeast Lakes Land Trust. At night, you can sign up for supper cooked by the local Maine guides, or dine 'in' if you're staying at a sporting camp. If you come, please stop by our both and say hello!
